Tracking Register Transactions
Go to the Main Menu, then Cash Register, then Transaction Enquiry You will see the following screen.
Part 1
In this section you can choose which criteria you use to search
* Audit Number - you can search for a particular transaction using either the barcode number at the bottom of a receipt or other audit number from within the system.
* Stock Desc/Barcode - you can search for all transactions associated with a particular stock item by either scanning the barcode or by description.
* Show All - this is a generalised search (eg all transactions for a time period on a date).
* Stock Detail - you can search for transactions from a Dissection/Family/Class or Stock Type (eg Stationery) or GST Category.
Part 2
In this section you can specify a Date and Time Range for your search.
Part 3
In this section you can restrict the search to or a combination of Shop (for multi shop systems), Station, Register, Drawer, or Staff.
Part 4
In this section you can restrict the search to a specific Customers transactions.
Part 5
In this section you can restrict the search to a specific dollar range (eg $1-$50).
Part 6
In this section you can restrict the search to a specific Transaction Type (eg Refunds).
Part 7
These options are self explanitory. Show only transactions which have voided items and Show only transactions with discounts.
Part 8
You can also restrict your search to a particular pay type (eg EFTPOS).
Once you have set all of your required options hit the Find button and you will see the following screen.
By ticking the Show Details on Single Click option (Fig A) at the top of the screen you can instantly see the transaction details in the bottom part of the screen when you select them from the list. Hitting the Payment Details button (Fig B) you can see how that transaction was paid for (Hit the Transaction Details button beside this to return to the previous view).
NOTE - Items in Red in the bottom pane (Fig C) are items that have been voided.
You can either view the transactions on the screen using the left and right arrows or print out your search results. By default the print option will print out a summary only (Audit No., Date, Total etc.) if you want to see the transaction details you need to tick the Show Transaction Details in Report option (Fig D).
