Free offer on webinars?

To our clients and/or business associates if you have a reasonable topic we are willing to let you use our software facilities to run your own webinar free.

The system we use is Go ToMeeting, which is not the cheapest, but I think the best. Recently, it was again the Winner of two PC Magazine Editors' Choice awards, which also decided it was the best Web-meeting software.

Because of our extensive use of webinars for our training sessions more people are probably more used it to than any other system.

From our experience these webinars can save you.
* Travel costs
* Time
* Better than using a phone
* Bring people that could otherwise not attend.

I put together a slide show of some types of premium chocolates.

I hope you like it.

Let me know if you want to send me some pictures of your shop to merge into this slide show or if you want some original pictures to put into your advertisement.

We have a new programmer

After surprisingly little debate, this time compared to last time, we decided to employ an additional programmer. After interviewing several candidates, I was very pleased that the candidate who was our first choice accepted the position.

So we are pleased to announce that we have hired an
extra programmer, who comes to us from Drake.

I thought to myself when I was composing his letter of offer, that these are so boring; no style in the letter, no colour. I should embellish with something, so I wrote to him with a bit of a flourish.

So I proudly wrote "I should be glad if you take up your appointment from Monday 19th 2007 and am looking forward to seeing you then where it will be my pleasure to welcome you as our newest member."

I wonder what he thought of it when he received the letter. Would he even notice my efforts?

However, no sooner was it sent than I noticed that the grammar was not the best. My mixture of expressions did not lead to the expected result. Sometimes, you mix and match so many colours and you end up with grey!

Goes to show that we have to advertise for yet another position: the one of a proof-reader!

Cloaked in darkness.

The power went out in the area including the Melbourne office.

Want to see what the office looks like without power, well turn off the lights at home at night. It looks like that!

We had no lights, no phones, no computers, and no air-conditioners nothing working. One of the accounts people did have a candle so we had candlelight but it was not pleasant as being without air-conditioning on a reasonably hot day the office got stuffy quickly.

A few efficient ones in our office had an impromptu business conference to work some issues out. I noticed most in the office and the ones in nearby offices all just talked, walked around, having a smoke and doing nothing.

Several jokingly pointed out that they could not have even have their lunches as the microwave did not work. Some went to the shops to get some sandwiches.

I rang up the power company. They said they had no clue what was happening and they expected it would take about an hour and a half to fix. I said thanks. Although I did wondered how they could not know the reason it was happening but knew how long they would need to fix it.

Unfortunately as we could not divert the phones as the pabx needs electricity the phones just silently rang out. I rang Michael Varger on the mobile and told him to warn the people interstate that they are on their own. If anyone calls at least he was informed and could direct them to the person that could best help them. Also I thought if someone complains it would not be to me this time.

With nothing to do but waited it out. I remembered a saying "when the going gets tough, the tough go shopping" so off I went shopping.

The printer consumables industry is a rapidly growing market. It is expected to grow at a rate of 12% a year, which represents a growth opportunity.

Today almost every business has one or more printers in the office and probably half the households in Australia have their own printers. Newsagents well positioned to capitalize on this opportunity being both local and having a business-to-consumer focus.

Now over one million homes and businesses have received this flyer in the past 30 days.

Several newsagents have told me how good it was to cut up price lists from woolworths and officeworks showing it next to this pricelist just to show they are competitive. That they are fighting back.

It is also proving very effective as people can see which one they want at home and bring in the flyer having marked the one that they want.
